On July 22^nd 2011, ELLE and Shisedo hold a Beauty Makeup Party at TANGS Level 4.

During the event, there were also makeup demos. Renowned makeup artist -Celestine Sng- and Shiseido Senior Trainer -Karen Oon- did makeup demos on two gals and share some great tips on party makeup looks.

Went to Raffles City on Saturday (July 9th 2011) and checked out Aigner store.

Captured by one fab leather case, Mel was damn happy when the shop assistant told her that it is GWP for the membership. For SGD 60, thou can sign up for the Jay Gee loyalty membership programme for a year plus a fab Aigner leather case.

Parkson CT Plaza

If thou have plenty of time to kill prior of thy boarding time, why don’t thou visit Parkson CT Plaza instead. It’s located merely five minutes drive from Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

The best part is that there is a free shuttle bus commute back and forth from CT Plaza to Airport (and vice versa). At the entrance of Parkson, there is a baggage deposit counter. Thou can deposit thy baggage for free (no limitation in terms of hours either).

Inside the building, there are live arrival/departure boards in every single floor.

Emporio Armani Caffe Ho Chi Minh City

Drove passed Vincom Centre on the way to Benh Thanh for lunch and this particular café captured my very eyes.

Mel decided to go there after finding that Benh Thanh market is quite boring eventually.

Emporio Armani Caffe located at Vincom Centre (right opposite of Parkson Saigon Tourist Plaza).

It’s a two floors café, with simple yet nice interior.

They do serve complimentary breads (raisins breads, whole meal bread and bread sticks) for every meals ordered.

I had Chicken and egg salad (VND 166,000) and strawberry panna cotta (VND 96,000) … YUMMY!

Completed with gin tonic (VND 106,000).

Food – real good, worth the price esp the strawberry panna cotta

Pricing – would consider it as filthy cheap

Would definitely love to go there again next time!

Lacquer shop is the must visit in Ho Chi Minh City …

So what is Lacquer actually? Lacquer is oriental varnish obtained from the sap of the tree gum. Its high-gloss finish became fashionable in Europe in the 17th century. Mother-of-pearl, coral and metals were often inlaid in the lacquer ground to create a decorative effect.

During her visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Mel visited Minh Phuong Fine Arts & Handicraft. This place is pretty special it has both of lacquer workshop and showroom at the same premise.
