Spring in Shanghai

Shanghai is been really amazing for me so far … Those eateries, hidden alleys, the smells and many more …

Slowly, I start to feel something for the city … Perhaps I would live in this city one day ...

It was just one of the random stuff that I came across during one of my visits … A friend of mine who works for TimeOut Shanghai asked me to join her for one of her fieldwork to a “hidden” bookstore at Julu Lu …

From outside, it was nothing like a bookstore. From the inside, it was just so cozy, more like a living room or your own private library. It did not have lots of English collection, but wide range of interesting Chinese collection (perhaps it’s about a time for me to actually learn Mandarin) … It does serve light beverages and the shop keeper was just so friendly (Ps. She is also a translator; in fact she was working on translating one English book to Chinese when we were there).

Bought a book for RMB 30 (pretty reasonable price for a second-hand book) and pretty much still in good condition … The shop keeper mentioned that the book that I bought is really comical … Hope will get the chance to read the book over the weekend …
